First meeting Monday for Delaware’s bike and pedestrian trail project

A public workshop is scheduled today for Delaware’s Bike and Pedestrian Trails Initiative.

A series of meetings was planned following an agreement between DelDOT Secretary Shailen Bhatt and Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control Secretary Collin O’Mara to connect trails through the state.
From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, the public can go the WILMAPCO offices in Newark to learn more about the New Castle Industrial Track Trail, Newark to Wilmington Pathway, Pomeroy Trail, C & D  Canal Trail and 10 others.

A second meeting is planned for Thursday in Lewes.
