First look at Diggerland USA (Photos)

Any kid who loves playing with Tonka trucks, especially in the dirt, will find Diggerland USA almost too good to be true.

It’s an unusual theme park that opened this month in West Berlin, N.J. which is 15 miles south east of Philadelphia. Everything about this park revolves around heavy construction equipment. A similar park operates in Las Vegas.

We wanted to see for ourselves how Diggerland USA looks. Check out the gallery above because you can really get a sense of what the park is like. Also, read our previous story on Diggerland, which will give you the background story on how it came to America. Also, at the end of this story is a complete list of the rides.

Probably the most important thing to know is that the construction vehicles are real and therefore the operator must be able to reach the pedals and levers. The rides have varying minimum height requirements. The park is designed for children who are at least 36 inches tall. Children under this height are free to enter the park, however they will be limited to the attractions they may participate in.
