‘Firefly Fireworks’ at WEC July 3

On Wednesday, July 3, 8-9:30 p.m., get started on your holiday celebration with an evening visit to the meadow at the Wissahickon Environmental Center and enjoy an explosive display brought to us by our state insect…the firefly. Also known as lightning bugs, these fascinating creatures light up the Andorra meadows with bioluminescence. Learn about the fireflies and join us for a fun game that teaches about the flashing patterns unique to each species. All ages are welcome. The WEC is located at 300 Northwestern Avenue. For more information call 215 685-9285.
