Firefighters battling Bradley Beach blaze

    Update: The fire was placed under control around 8:20 p.m. No additional details were immediately available. 

    Firefighters are battling a two-alarm house fire in Bradley Beach early Sunday evening.

    Units responded to 217 McCabe Avenue shortly before 7:00 p.m., reporting heavy smoke upon arrival, according to emergency radio transmissions. 

    The fire is reportedly in the third floor of the structure, which contains multiple apartment units.

    Crews were ordered to temporarily evacuate from the structure due to heavy fire conditions shortly before 7:15 p.m. 

    Fire companies from the surrounding area are on the scene. 

    No injuries were reported as of 7:30 p.m.

    The pink building near Central Avenue was built in 1906, according to property tax records.
