Fire damages bathroom at Philadelphia City Hall

    Firefighters have put out a small fire in a women’s bathroom on the third floor of Philadelphia’s City Hall.

    Executive Chief Richard Davison, a fire department spokesman, says the fire was reported shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday and was under control in about 10 minutes.

    More than 100 people had to be evacuated from the historic building while crews responded.

    Davison says the fire caused minor damage and no one was hurt.
