Fight or flight

    With news of Philadelphia International Airport’s 13-year expansion plan also came the inevitable news of eminent domain. Approval from the FAA means the airport has the go-ahead for its $5.2 billion expansion that would displace 72 Tinicum Township residents from their homes.

     

    While efforts by the township to fight the expansion are just taking off, PHL says its prepared to compromise. Tinicum attorney Francis Pileggi told the Delaware County Times the township is considering litigation and nonlitigation options.
