FEMA will give disaster aid to individuals in South Jersey

Individuals in four South Jersey counties will qualify for federal disaster aid as FEMA makes emergency funds available to homeowners and businesses directly.

What started with five counties in the northern part of the state later grew to 12, and now all 21 New Jersey counties qualify for the individual relief to help repair damage from Hurricane Irene, as the Daily Journal reports.

The relief will cover things like temporary housing, home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured or underinsured property losses, Disaster Unemployment Assistance and Small Business Administration disaster loans.
