FEMA funds for three suburban Philadelphia fire companies

    Three fire companies in Philadelphia suburbs will share a $200,000 grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Sen. Bob Casey announced today.

    The $202,377 grant will be split between companies in Chester and Montgomery counties through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program.

    Washington Hose Co. No. 1 in Coatesville will use $90,108, LaMott Fire Co. No. 1 in Elkins Park will use $15,960 and the Norristown Fire Dept. will use $96,309 for operations and safety purposes. This is the 19th round of AFG grants for the 2010 fiscal year.
