Feisty shoplifter scuffles with Del. State Trooper

A Chester, PA woman faces a laundry list of charges after attacking two people, including a Delaware State Trooper.

Police apprehended 30-year-old Ebonie Riley yesterday for shoplifting from Burlington Coat Factory, located on Naamans Road in Claymont, but not before she punched a store employee in the mouth, who tried to detain her.

Then when Riley was taken to Delaware State Police Troop 1, located on Philadelphia Pike in Wilmington, troopers say Riley became combative, struck a trooper in the neck with her hands and continued to fight until finally she had to be Tasered.

The 40-year-old trooper was treated and released for his injuries.
