Fairmount Art Center expands to Queen Village with a ‘pARTy’

After seven years on Olive Street, Fairmount Art Center needed to expand. It’ll celebrate that achievement this afternoon with a grand opening party at the new Queen Village Art Center.

The center’s offering of classes, camps, workshops and afterschool programs will be provided through the new location, as well, and it all kicks off at 1 p.m. today with a ribbon-cutting, cake and the Mummers.

The celebration includes make-and-take art for kids and adults, studio tours, face painting, exhibits and food trucks. The space at 514 Bainbridge St. is two stories, 3,000 sq. ft., and has four studios.
