Explosion, fire at multifamily N.J. home

Authorities say at least two people were injured in fire that started after an apparent explosion at a multifamily home in southern New Jersey.

But it’s not yet clear what caused the blast at the three-story residence in Haddon Heights, which occurred around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Witnesses who live nearby say the blast shook their homes, and the subsequent fire destroyed the residence in a matter of minutes.

It was not immediately clear how many people lived in the house or how many units it had, but witnesses say most people who were inside the residence apparently got out safely.
