Exelon revokes license of Limerick plant operator who failed alcohol test
At Exelon’s request, the Limerick nuclear plant operator who failed a random alcohol test has had his license revoked.
According to a report in the Mercury, the man tested positive for having alcohol in his system during a “fitness for duty” test the Nuclear Regulatory Commission held July 14.
The NRC has said Roger Devlin was never the lone operator in the room and no errors under his supervision were identified. The alcohol consumption took place off-site. He’s been removed from duty but has not been fined.
