Ex-Philly Council aide sentenced for DUI

    Former Philadelphia City Council employee Robin Jones will spend a few days in jail after pleading guilty to DUI.

    Jones, who received credit for time served, will also serve six month of probation with evaluation and supervision, according to the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.She’ll pay a $1,000 fine and enroll in alcohol highway safety classes. Her licenses has been suspended for six months, and she’ll also pay nearly $6,000 in restitution.

    Jones, the former receptionist to Council President Darrell Clarke, was arrested and charged in September after crashing a city-owned vehicle around 3 a.m. and calling another now-former city employee who drove a second city-owned vehicle to the scene.
