Events tie up, reroute Philadelphia traffic

    Hoping for a slow, easy Sunday? Sorry. Four major events in the area could snag your weekend errands.

    West, North, South and Center City Philadelphia are all looking at traffic jams and reroutes Sunday:

     

    6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The following will be closed for the Multiple Sclerosis Society Walk:

    Eakins Oval westbound to Spring Garden Street Bridge and into the city from southbound Kelly Drive.Spring Garden Street westboundKelly Drive southboundFrom Fairmount Avenue to Eakins Oval

    8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The following will be closed for the Broad Street Run:

    Broad Street between Somerville Avenue and the Navy Yard

    8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The following will be closed for the March for Dimes’ March for Babies:

    Ben Franklin Bridge

    Expect some congestion:

    On and around Kelly Drive near Boat House Row for the Dr. White Regatta/InterAC League Girls Championship starting in the late morning.
