Evacuation lifted Sunday for residents of Harrisburg

The evacuation order has been lifted and now residents in parts of Harrisburg can return home, though some may still be without power.

According to The Patriot-News, the evacuation order was lifted by Mayor Linda Thompson at 11 a.m. today.

Nearly 500 city businesses and dwellings remain without electricity and utility officials have estimated it may take several days to restore power to all of the city.

In a press conference, Mayor Thompson said said city infrastructure and components must still be evaluated, according to The Patriot-News.
