Emergency sirens to be tested in New Jersey, Delaware Tuesday by PSEG

    This really is only a test. PSEG on Tuesday is planning to test its 71 emergency sirens in areas of New Jersey and Delaware.

    Today’s Sunbeam reports the sirens  are located within a 10-mile radius of PSEG Nuclear’s Artificial Island nuclear generating complex in Lower Alloways Creek Township.

    According to the report, the test is scheduled for approximately 10:45 a.m. During the test, residents will not need to take any action.

    Today’s Sunbeam says there are 34 sirens in New Jersey and 37 located in Delaware.
