Ed on the move, Rob in the door

Is Ed Rendell headed for a gig at the Brookings Institution in Washington? The Washington bureau of the Allentown Morning Call (yes, a local paper with a live D.C. presence) reports that Brookings fellow Chris Leinberger told a crowd in the Lehigh Valley, “By the way, Ed Rendell is going to be an office-mate at Brookings, he is going to be a visiting fellow at Brookings starting in a few weeks.”

No official word from Brookings or the former guv.

UPDATE: Rendell confirms to the Inquirer’s Angela Couloumbis that he’s accepted a two-day a month post as a visiting fellow with Brookings.

Also Pennsylvania State Treasurer Rob McCord appears to have won his battle to get into executive sessions of the state Gaming Control Board with a Commonwealth Court order. I can’t figure out why he was ever excluded in the first place, since he was named an ex-officio member by the enabling legislation.

But I just loved this one act play by dramatizing the McCord-Fajt drama by John Micek, the Harrisburg correspondent for the Morning Call. Enjoy.
