East Marlborough approves 20-acre park plan

The first phase of a 20-acre park in East Marlborough has been approved. Township supervisors approved the plan for Unionville Community Park behind Chester County’s Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company headquarters.

Phase 1, as the Daily Local reports, includes a 48-space parking lot near the firehouse and the development of walking trails and landscaping on the eastern side of the park.

It’s not clear yet what else will be included in the park, but all signs point to passive after some residents said sports fields, pavilions and picnic tables would create noise.
