Man arrested for multiple counts of harassment and indecent exposure at Phila U.

A Northeast Philadelphia man is in police custody after a series of crimes at an East Falls school.

George Tobin, 40, of the 7100 block of Keystone St., is being charged in connection to five harassment and indecent exposure incidents on or near the campus of Philadelphia University.

According to police, Tobin was involved in five separate incidents occurring in the 3100 and 3200 blocks of School House Lane. The first incident occurred on Thursday, April 18, at 1 p.m, and four other incidents occurred on Wednesday, April 24, between 12 p.m and 1 p.m.

In each instance, police say the suspect approached 18 to 26-year-old female complainants and asked them inappropriate questions. In at least one incident, he exposed himself.

After an investigation, Tobin was identified and was arrested on Monday, April 29, at the Special Victims Unit located at 100 E. Lehigh Ave. He faces charges of indecent exposure, open lewdness, and harassment.

Court records detailing information about Tobin’s arraignment and preliminary hearing was not immediately available.
