E. coli cases prompt bologna recall

A Central Pennsylvania company has recalled bologna produced late last year after four cases of E. coli were reported, the Associate Press reports.

Palmyra Bologna Company has issued a recall of 23,000 pounds of Seltzer’s Regular Beef Lebanon Bologna produced in December.

The bologna was shipped to California, Colorado, Maryland, New York and Pennsylvania and has “best buy” dates of April 20 to April 22. Bologna produced and sold this year has not been affected.

The affected lot is 01351, and came in 6, 12, and 16-ounce packages. It’s likely the bad bologna is no longer in stores, but the company is being cautious.
