DuPont admits herbicide has damaged trees
DuPont has admitted its new herbicide has damaged spruce and pine trees, but plans to defend a number of class action lawsuits that have already been filed.
At least four lawsuits have been filed against the Delaware-based company over the herbicide Imprelis, which costs $750 a gallon.
The Wilmington News Journal reports property owners around the country have filed complaints about the product, which DuPont received EPA approval for last August. Imprelis is supposed to kill weeds like dandelions, clover and plantains.
