Ducks ride again, but not in Philadelphia

It’s unclear how long the amphibious truck tours will stay in dry-dock.

Duck boats are touring U.S. cities again but not Philadelphia after a fatal accident with a barge last week.

Just after the accident that left two boat passengers dead, Ride the Ducks suspended operations nationwide.

Now after a round of inspections, the Ducks have started touring again in Atlanta, Branson, Missouri, and San Francisco. The Newport, Kentucky location is expected to open soon.

A Ride The Ducks representative declined to be interviewed, but issued a press release in which the President of Ride the Ducks says the company is completely confident in its standard operating procedures, but felt it was appropriate to review procedures and vehicles at each location.

The statement goes on to say Ride The Ducks is cooperating fully with National Transportation Safety Board and local investigations.

    Philadelphia operations remain closed.
