Drug dumping

Yesterday, WHYY’s Tom MacDonald reported on the intricacies involved with getting rid of unwanted medicines in Philadelphia, and the fact that there aren’t enough places and days in the city for residents to unload their prescriptions. Salem County, NJ set up a dumping site today.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, Salem residents were invited to bring their unused, unwanted and expired medicines to the county courthouse for the American Medical Chest Challenge.

The FDA has several guidelines for properly disposing medicines. Are you following them?
