Drone video: Fire rips through family-owned Ocean County appliance store

A blaze ripped through a nearly 40-year-old southern Ocean County appliance store yesterday.

The fire broke out in the family-owned Anchor Appliance on Route 9 in the West Creek section of Eagleswood shortly before 5 p.m.

Arriving fire units discovered a fully involved structure, quickly calling a third-alarm. Shortly thereafter, crews were ordered out of the building.

Local firefighter Roman Isaryk captured the drone video above.

Crews extinguished the blaze hours later. Numerous fire companies and first aid squads responded to the scene.

Route 9 was closed through the area as crews worked at the scene.

    No one was injured.

The extent of damage wasn’t immediately available. The blaze remains under investigation.
