Driver trapped after car plunges off I-95 in Philadelphia

    The driver of a car was trapped early this morning in Philadelphia’s Torresdale section after emergency crews say her car drove off I-95 and onto the roadway below.

    WPVI-TV reports the accident happened around 6:00 a.m. this morning.

    The driver was trapped inside of her car for a brief time as emergency crews worked to rescue her. WPVI-TV says she was alert and conscious by the time she was extricated from her vehicle.

    It’s not clear what caused the accident.
