Drexel professor envisions neighborhood cell phone tours

A Drexel University professor is combining his anthropology background and digital media skills to help bring history to the 21st century.

Glen Muschio proposed to the Central Delaware Advocacy Group a cell phone tour of Philadelphia history — starting with the Central Delaware Waterfront.

The well-received plan would allow smart phone users to access information on the history of the area between Allegheny and Oregon avenues and I-95 and the river.

PlanPhilly has the full report, which includes other items from the CDAG meeting agenda.
