Don’t miss today’s Italian Market Festival finale

The nation’s oldest outdoor market will come alive today when the Italian Market Festival returns for its finale.

The annual festivities include a procession of the saints, food, music, family events, crafts, and more food.

The hucksters and vendors will be selling their wares on 9th Street from Federal to Fitzwater. The daylong event begins at 10 a.m. and will continue until 5 p.m. this evening.

The procession of the saints begins at Saint Mary Magdalen Church at 11 a.m., at 7th and Montrose. The procession will make its way to 9th and Washington, pause to bless the market and finish its route up 9th Street, ending at Saint Paul’s church on 10th and Christian.

Three stages will be set up along 9th Street with live DJs playing classic rock, party and Italian favorites.
