Dolphin dies after washing up on AC beach

Experts are still trying to determine what caused the death of a dolphin that washed up on a beach in Atlantic City this weekend.

Officials with the Marine Mammal Stranding Center say the dolphin died shortly after it was found around 8 a.m. Saturday on the Pacific Avenue beach.

The cause of death has not yet been determined, and details on whether the dolphin had any visible injuries were not disclosed.

The dolphins’ death comes nearly a month after tree dolphins were stranded and died in Cape May County.
