Motorists should expect delays on a portion of Route 37 in Toms River this morning.

An overhead wire became dislodged from its overhead supports and fell across Route 37 near the Garden State Parkway, according to Toms River Police Department spokesman Ralph Stocco.

Eastbound and westbound traffic is still flowing but there are delays due to there being only one passable land, he said.

A power outage is impacting traffic lights on the highway west of the Garden State Parkway, according to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.

Repair crews are on the scene, and there is no estimated time when the work will be completed, Stocco said.
