“Dirty” list results in loss of Philly advertising for magazine

Take that, Travel + Leisure! After admiring Philadelphia’s beer and food, the mag delivered a low blow this week when its list of America’s Dirtiest Cities ranked Philadelphia No. 2. That’s down two slots from No. 4 last year.

The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation won’t take that insult lying down. The Philadelphia Business Journal reports GPTMC has canceled plans to advertise on the magazine’s website for an undisclosed amount of money.

Feed the Feed: Should the city still advertise with the magazine to counter the list, or is it about time we took a stand?
