Did you feel it? New Jersey residents report feeling earthquake Saturday morning

Dozens of New Jersey residents say they felt the earth shake this morning, but the United States Geological Survey has yet to recognize that an actual earthquake took place.

No active earthquakes have taken place in the New Jersey area, according to the USGS earthquake map.

However, The Star-Ledger says nearly 60 people throughout New Jersey report they felt shaking, including residents from Egg Harbor, Cranbury, East Brunswick, North Brunswick and Trenton.

Still, the USGS is saying if there was any shaking, it wasn’t from an earthquake. A geophysicist tells The Star-Ledger there was no earthquake, but perhaps thunder or a sonic boom.
