DesignPhiladelphia workshops: from needlework to urban planning [photos]

    “Design” is a loaded word, and events taking place throughout the week are aimed at unpacking it.

    The annual DesignPhiladelphia wraps up this weekend, following a five-day series of events that looks at everything from tangible works of art to conceptual urban planning.

    Our photographers stopped by a few exhibits Friday that ranged from “antique ecclesiastical needlework” to an urban planning exhibit about green design.
