Demolition concerns over expansion project near William Tennent house

Part of a Warminster expansion project has been tabled for a week  to allow for further discussion about how the plan might affect the neaby historic William Tennent house.

Christ’s Home, which owns the property, is working on an expansion project for its existing child and senior services and up to this point has not applied for a permit to demolish the historic home.

PhillyBurbs reports concern about what could happen to the dilapidated building prompted the Warminster Board of Supervisors to table a motion to release $100,000 in impact fees Christ’s Home wants to use for a PennDOT highway occupancy permit.

A meeting has been scheduled for this week.
