Democrats call Corbett’s budget ‘harmful’

Pennsylvania Democrats are criticizing the budget Gov. Tom Corbett signed into law last night, calling it harmful and unpopular.

“Families in Pennsylvania were the clear loser in Tom Corbett’s harmful and unpopular budget,” Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairman Jim Burn said in a release this morning.

“For the past several months, people across Pennsylvania spoke out against Tom Corbett’s budget, but he refused to listen – holding no public forums on the budget while making deals with Republican legislators behind closed doors,” he said of the budget that cuts more than $1 billion.
