DelDOT hosts Senior Driver Days for elderly motorists

In an effort to keep seniors mobile and help them stay safe, the Delaware Department of Transportation is hosting two Senior Driver Day events in the coming weekends as part of Older Americans Month and Driver Safety Month.

Seniors and their families can browse information from AARP, the Delaware Aging Network, the Delaware Safety Council and more, as the News Journal reports. Drivers can also sign up ahead of time for the CarFit program to make sure they “fit” their vehicles properly.

The first Senior Driver Day is Saturday, May 14 at the Division of Motor Vehicles in New Castle County at 8:30 a.m.
