Delaware’s official Santa Claus Lane

Do you know the way to Santa Claus Lane in Delaware?  You really can’t miss it.  Not only is the most colorful house on the block, but it’s been around for awhile.

There is something about the home that Rich and Linda Faucher this time of year.  During the day you drive by the street sign that says Santa Claus Lane.  At night the attraction becomes 100 fold as it becomes a seasonal beacon in that part of Bear, Delaware.

Sunday the 18th was a special time for those who traveled on Route 71 in that section between Route 13 and Route 7.  Santa Claus was making a guest appearance.  He’ll stop by there a couple more time before the weekend.

The Faucher home has received a lot of attention over the years. ABC News once wrote a story on it estimating the average lighting bill for what is produced is well over $80,000.  The Faucher’s do have a box for donations, but we at Newsworks think they do it out of love.  We hope they find a way to keep the lights going for many more years to come.
