Delaware will oversee artist’s sculpture collection

Famed artist Charles Parks has found a home for hundreds of his sculptures: Delaware.

The state has received a collection of nearly 300 of Parks’ bronze, fiberglass and plaster works — some as large as 9 feet. Parks’ current studio is based near Wilmington, as WHYY’s Bill Cook reports, and his Charles Cropper Parks Foundation was set up 10 years in anticipation of the transfer of his works.

The works will be displayed publicly around state properties. Parks is a UDel and PAFA grad.
