Delaware teen killed in Wilmington

Wilmington Police have identified the 19-year-old Delaware man who was shot and killed last night as Dominique Helm.

Poilce officers were called to the 100 block of West 23rd Street in Wilmington around 8:45 p.m., after gunshots were heard, where officers discovered Helm’s body. Detectives say Helm was shot in the chest and taken to Christiana Hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.

With no known motive or suspects, police are asking anyone with information about the shooter to contact Detective Randy Nowell at 302-576-3632.
