Delaware Oprah fan counts down the days

With only three shows left, Oprah fans everywhere, including Delaware’s own self-proclaimed “ultimate viewer,” are preparing for the talk show host’s final show.

Middletown’s Debby Brown says Oprah has been a welcome guest in her home for the past 25 years.

Brown had the opportunity to meet her idol in late April, when she took part in the show’s “Look and feel 20-years younger” challenge. After working with Oprah’s health team, including trainer Bob Greene, Brown says she not only turned back the clock, she also shed 27 pounds in just two months.

“I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be on her 20-year challenge show,” said Brown, who describes the experience as “life-changing.”

As for her plans Wednesday, when “The Oprah Winfrey Show” finale airs, Brown says her plan is to watch the show and do something really relaxing for herself at the same time.

“I don’t have children, but I think this is what it must feel like for a parent sending a child off to college… I’m excited, but am going to miss her big time,” said Brown.
