Delaware home energy contest worth $5000
State boasts energy audit as the big prize
Delaware’s Sustainable Energy Utility is trying to raise awareness for energy efficiency and they are using the web and social media as their means to spread the word.
Beginning Monday October 18th residents can go to www.energizedelaware.org. There they have to do three things: a. submit a photograph of their home, b. explain why your home is a good candidate for a makeover, and c. give your average monthly utility bill over the last year.

The winner will receive a free home energy audit. People can see how the energy audit goes through video posted on youtube.
The ultimate goal is to call attention to the best ways to save energy. DNREC Secretary Colin O’Mara outlines the way all residents can save money through routine energy inspections.
