Delaware doctor named president of American Mosquito Control Association

    Dr. William H. Meredith of the Delaware Mosquito Control Section has capped 10 years of service with the state’s Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control by being elected president of the American Mosquito Control Association.

    In his role through 2012, Meredith will oversee administrative business tasks and policy formulation to help environmental groups, federal regulatory agencies and Congressional staff.

    The AMCA is a nonproft working toward the suppression of mosquitos and related vector-transmitted diseases. Meredith has zoology and marine studies degrees from Penn State and the University of Delaware.
