Delaware County seniors embrace love and life after loss

Though Judith Sills is the author of Getting Naked Again, the psychologist’s meeting yesterday with seniors in Ridley Park was about more than physical exposure.

Seniors went to Sills’ session to learn about forming relationships in their twilight years.
As the Delaware County Times reports, some were there to allay fears of what life without their current partner would be like. Others have already faced that reality, and wanted tips on how to move on and find companionship for the first time in decades.

Some will have to take it slow. When one 76-year-old accepted the challenge of saying “I love you” to a stranger, the stranger, also there to learn, up and left. Baby steps.
