Delaware civil union bill makes its way to Senate

A civil union bill circulating through Delaware could be up for a Senate vote by next week, Bill Cook reports for WHYY.

The Equality Delaware president told Bill she thinks the measure has a good chance of passing. It moved to the Senate Wednesday after two hours of debate by the Senate Administrative Services and Elections Committee. Approval would grant many of the rights of married couple to same-sex couples joined in civil unions.
