Del. firefighters help battle Colorado wildfire

Twenty Delaware firefighters were dispatched to Colorado over the weekend to battle the “Weber Fire” in the southwest region of the state.

The blaze, which began Friday, is estimated at 9,000 acres is now about 15 percent contained.

Crews worked most of Tuesday using hand tools to create a barrier for the fire. In the humidity of the night, they’ll light backfires to consume potential fuel sources ahead of an advancing fire.
