Darby collects 57 guns at buyback event
Fifty-seven guns were collected Saturday during a two-and-a-half-hour window at the Darby Borough Police Department.
The township and borough sponsored a gun buyback event as part of Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams’ Summer of Peace initiative. Residents were given $100 giftcards to Shop Rite in exchange for their guns and a no-questions-asked policy.
The guns will be melted down.
