Darby Borough imposes curfew after rash of shootings

Darby Borough has declared a state of emergency following five shootings in a three-day period.

Mayor Helen Thomas declared at a press conference Friday night, “We are taking the borough back,” reports the Delaware County Daily Times.

This includes a curfew, which was put into effect last night and may last as long as 10 days. Anyone on the streets after 8 p.m. may be pulled over and interviewed by police, said Thomas.
