Dangerously cool icicles in Northwest Philly [photos]

    Look up! Icicles forming on walls, pipes and cables often leave spectacular sights but could also become dangerous falling objects once temperatures climb. You might want to check what is hanging above you when you are outside.

     

    Winter storm Janus dropped a foot of snow in the region. When heat from houses and sun melt all this snow, freezing air temperatures form ice sculptures like these captured in the West Mt. Airy and Germantown neighborhoods of Philadelphia.
