Curious George the dog may soon get new home

The once skinny, malnourished dog weighing only half of his normal body weight who was found on the side of a road on October 31st may soon be getting a new family.

The Daily Local News reports as of Saturday, 6 p.m., the Delaware County SPCA’s application process had resulted in eight potential families for the abandoned dog, known as “Curious George.”

According to the report, the Delaware County SPCA was inundated with phone calls in October, when news broke of the rescue. The Daily Local News says the SPCA called George’s case one of the worst cases of neglect they have ever seen.

A special panel will review the applications to place George with a new family.
