Curious George and other pets receive awards from Delco SPCA

Curious George has come a long way since October. That’s when the pitbull was found nearly starved on the side of a Delaware County road.

Since then, George has gained weight and been adopted. Earlier this month, the Delaware County SPCA honored George with its Ginger Award.
The award is “given to an outstanding and exemplary pitbull in the community that is helping to educate people about the breed and prevent cruelty to animals,” according to Patch.

Also honored were a cat who needed eye surgery and a man and his pitbull who were united after they were in separate car crashes.
