A 1996 Jeep Cherokee stolen between 7 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. from the Sedgwick Train Station in East Mt. Airy.

April 20, 2011

700 block Vernon Road – complainant said his ex-wife entered his home with two unknown men and stole a few items at gunpoint. The offenders ran off with a DVD player, DVDs, $1,000, clothes and a watch.

E. Armat St. / Germantown Ave. – complainant told police that two men approached her and robbed her at gunpoint. Offenders ran off with $250.

6300 block Greene St. – Smith & Wesson firearm and six bullets were stolen from the property between 3 p.m. March 31 and 4 p.m. April 6. He said he also can’t find the paperwork for the gun.

100 block W. Chelten Ave. – complainant said four men punched, kicked and robbed him. The offenders ran off with $45.

500 block Murdoch Rd. – engagement ring and $500 stolen from the property between 12 p.m. April 16 and 9 a.m. April 20. Complainant said items were taken from a bedroom.

100 block Rex Ave. – 2007 Acura MDX stolen between 8:30 a.m. April 19 and 9 a.m. April 20.

 

April 21, 2011

7700 block Ogontz Ave. – employee at a 7-Eleven said two men entered the store and stole money from the register at gunpoint. Both offenders then fled down Ogontz Ave.

6900 block E. Wister St. – Sony video recorder, Acer laptop and WIC checks stolen from a 2003 Chevy Tahoe.

1500 block Wynsam St. – 1993 Ford F250 stolen. Complainant said the truck was parked behind the house for four months. He said he noticed it was missing at 3 p.m. April 21.

6400 block Morton St. – 1992 Ford Taurus stolen. Complainant said the car had been parked at the location for eight weeks after it wouldn’t start. She said she received a call from a neighbor April 6 that the car was gone.

Unit block E. Chelten Ave. – complainant said two men also staying at the location asked to see his cell phone and never gave it back.

Chew Ave. / E. Chelten Ave. – complainant said someone stole her Access card and spent over $500 from the card.

 

April 22, 2011

1300 block E. Haines St. – Acer laptop stolen from the property between 9 p.m. April 21 and 7 p.m. April 22.

4800 block Stenton Ave. – sneakers, medication bottle, wallet containing $130 and an Access card were stolen from the property. Complainant said she left the items on a porch table and that they were gone when she returned.

Unit block E. Rittenhouse St. – laptop and an iPod were stolen from a 1993 Volvo V50 between 7-9 p.m. April 21.

Unit block W. Chelten Ave. – store manager said the offender grabbed an unknown amount of merchandise from the shelves and ran out.

600 block E. Mount Airy Ave. – 1996 Jeep Cherokee stolen between 7 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. April 22. Complainant said car was parked at SEPTA’s Sedgwick Train Station.

 

April 23, 2011

Blakemore St/ E. Woodlawn St. – complainant said two boys pushed him and took his bike.

1500 block E. Pastorius St. – 2004 BMW X3 stolen.

7400 block Briar Road – police arrested two men who attempted to break into Sarah Temple Church. Police responded to a call and found the offenders on the roof.

1900 block 74th Ave. – 2010 Dodge Journey stolen. Complainant said his wife last saw the car at 1:45 a.m. April 23.

7400 block Ogontz Ave. – police arrested a man attempting to break into a Rite-Aid. Police watched the offender trying to climb through the store’s front window. When they approached, offender told police he “was just going to take a few cartons of cigarettes.”

Devon St. / Locust Ave. – 1999 Ford Taurus was stolen, but recovered prior to the police report. Complainant said he last saw his car at 9 p.m. April 22 and noticed it missing at 1:30 a.m. April 23. When he went to report the theft, he was told police had pulled over and arrested two men a little more than an hour before who were riding around in the car.

100 block E. Duval St. – 1994 Chevy Cavalier stolen.

500 block E Walnut Lane – 32″ flat screen TV stolen from the property between 10 a.m. April 22 and 12:45 a.m. April 23. Complainant said the item was stolen from a bedroom. There were no reported signs of a forced entry.

5800 block Osceola St. – 9mm handgun stolen from the property. Complainant said he noticed the gun missing April 22. He said he last saw it at 8 a.m. April 21.

 

April 24, 2011

7400 block Briar Road – complainant said someone stole the front left headlight from her 2001 Buick Century between 11:30 p.m. April 23 and 7:30 a.m. April 24.

6700 block Wyncote Ave. – complainant said someone stole a $600 money order from his home. He said he had a friend over and noticed the item was missing after she left.

6400 block Ross St. – 1993 Honda Civic stolen.

5600 block Baynton St. – complainant said someone stole a Dell touch screen tablet that was delivered to her home. She said she called UPS and was told the item had been delivered.

8200 block Crittenden St. – iPod, a wallet containing $110, credit and ID cards and six text books stolen from a car. Complainant said the items were taken between 9:30 p.m. April 23 and 9:15 a.m. April 24.

 

April 25, 2011

100 block W. Gorgas Lane – complainant said someone burglarized her home while she was in the hospital between March 6 and March 24. Complainant said someone took gold and diamond watch, two diamond rings, a gold ring and a checkbook. She said management has keys to her apartment. There were no signs of a forced entry.

 

April 26, 2011

2500 block W. Cheltenham Ave. – employee of J Beauty Supply said three men entered the store wearing women’s clothing and stole four packs of Indi Choco hair. Another employee tried to stop the offenders, but was maced. The offenders then left the store.

6400-block Musgrave St. – complainant said his 1996 Nissan Altima was broken into and damaged by fire. He said left the car at the location at around 8 p.m. April 25. He noticed the damage when he returned at 8 a.m. April 26.

600 block E. Woodlawn St. – two men carjacked a woman at gunpoint. Complainant said the offenders grabbed her keys and drove off in her 2003 Cadillac CTS.

5900-block Germantown Ave. – complainant said someone took two laptops from her classroom.

1500 block Wadsworth Ave. – Sam’s Wadsworth Meat Market was burglarized between 12-3 a.m. Police report that the offender(s) broke the front door glass with a hammer. Only a few coins were taken, but the door will cost approx. $1600 to replace, according to the complainant.
